Website Toolkit: Focus Mode
Hide notifications, adverts, upsells and other distractions on websites and admin portals. Focus on your work, not the noise.
Focus Mode browser extension was previously called Nag Me Not
Silence the noise
The pages / portals you work with every day are full of things that aren't the work. Focus Mode hides them with CSS, only on the sites you nominate.
Allowed Domains Only
Focus Mode is scoped to your allowed domains list. On any page not matching that list, the extension does nothing at all—no interference, no UI.
Four Blocking Modes
Choose between Off, Normal, Extreme, or Custom modes. From conservative built-in rules to 'hide everything' extreme mode.
Hiding, Not Deleting
Elements are hidden via CSS, never removed from the DOM. Switch to Off and everything is restored instantly without a page reload.
Intelligent Picking
The Advanced Pick tool generates stable selectors based on IDs and attributes, avoiding fragile framework-generated classes.
Mutation Observer
Catches notices injected late by scripts or single-page-app navigations. If it appears later, Focus Mode catches it.
Bulk Import/Export
Share selector lists with your team via CSV. Everyone gets the same clean portal without rediscovering the same selectors.
Four Blocking Modes
Nothing is hidden. Everything is restored.
Common admin notices and promo banners. Conservative by design.
Upsells, cookie bars, newsletter popups, and update badges.
Only your own selectors. No built-in rules at all.
Professional focus for professional portals
Fewer interruptions and less context-switching
No repeated dismissals of sticky banners
Cleaner screenshots for documentation and demos
Reduced cognitive load for sensitive users
WordPress Maintenance
Clear the wall of update nags, review requests, and upgrade banners standing between you and your settings.
Client Walkthroughs
Take screenshots or record demos without vendor advertising in the frame. Professional, clean, and local to your browser.
SaaS Dashboards
Hide feature announcement bars, trial countdowns, and chat widgets that rarely have a permanent dismiss option.
Adding your own selectors
The built-in rules cover common patterns. Everything else is a right-click away.
Pick Element
The cursor becomes a picker. Hover to highlight, click to hide. The engine scores candidates for stability to ensure your rule doesn't rot.
Advanced Pick
Shows all candidate selectors, their match count, and stability warnings. Preview live on the page before you commit.
Right-Click Menu
The fastest route. Right-click any element and select “Hide this element”. Gone in an instant without losing your scroll position.
Options Page
Type CSS selectors directly for precision work. Includes bulk CSV import/export for teams and multiple machines.
